My name is Yair (ya-ear) but I also go by Ryan when I'm traveling as it's easier to say in English (and I like it (-:). I was born and raised in Jerusalem. In recent years I've come to appreciate that it's an interesting destination for travelers and I've been showing many friends around. I'll love to show you around as well!

I'm extremely passionate about traveling and intend to continue whenever I possibly can (at the moment that's all the time!). My last trip was particularly interesting, I decided to travel in my own home country! Just like we do in other countries. So for six months I explored every corner of my country: volunteering, staying with friends or in nature and hiking. To my surprise, it was one of the most amazing trips I ever had!

I'm part of the Israeli Burning Man community and I take part in the building and taking apart of the whole city so last burn I was out in the desert for a month! it was absolutely amazing. I hope to go to more burn events world wide.

I believe the more all human beings are connected to each other, the more beautiful and prosperous this world will be. There's nothing I enjoy more than finding a person from across the world that I have so much in common with. Sometimes we are taught that we are all separated by country borders, religious beliefs etc. but to me these concepts are not real, what's real is the love and human experience we all share.

I enjoy meditating as it helps me put things in perspective and connect to the present. I aspire to always live in the present with a clear mind as the mind's thoughts are usually not that useful to me..
I think we are all here to spread as much love and kindness as we can, and constantly be giving our gifts to one and other.

On that note, I am looking forward to sharing the greatest gift with people I meet on couchsurfing. That being great company, good vibes, lots of laughs and real connections.

Traveling is my greatest passion and I'd like to continue reaching all corners of the world. After having spent time with couch surfers in my own country I learned that they are truly amazing people. People that share a lot of my passions and values.

I have traveled all around the world but now I'm looking forward to traveling in a slightly different way. In the past I have traveled in groups or as part of a couple and stayed at hostels. Now I am proudly traveling alone for the first time. To me this is a huge step and is sure to be a life changing journey (as they all are..). On this journey I want to stay with interesting and inspiring people who know all the great things about every place.

When I arrive somewhere I'd like to see it through the eyes of a local and a like minded person. I want to meet and get to know new friends everywhere I go. I'm looking forward to meeting hosts and getting the chance to connect with them.

I lived in Oman for a year and a half. It's an Arab-Muslim country and I am the only Israeli person to have done this (as far as I know..).

I lived with my Australian girlfriend there and it was an amazing magical time. I got to experience the local culture, people and nature and loved it all. The people were warm and beautiful (as was the warm weather..).

I worked with school children with special needs and taught English to adults. I felt like I had the privilege of having a positive impact on the lives of the people I worked with.

I can share various meditation techniques, recipes from around the world, workouts and stretching sessions, I love jam sessions and singing.

I'd like to learn to play any instrument, to surf and to speak Spanish. I really love learning new things and I do so every day.

While I'm staying I can help with dishes (love doing dishes!), cooking, garden work and definitely sitting around and having great conversations and lots of laughs!
