Доброго вечора, ми з України! 🇺🇦

I've been on a vacation looking for sunny days, warm air and nice bike trips but once I woke up and my life changed dramatically. There were no sun anymore as well as most positive emotions flew away when russia started full-scale invasion of Ukraine 24 February 2022.

My family is safe a the west of Ukraine so far. I am aboard, moving from one place to another having no idea what to do next. If you have questions or would just like to talk, I am happy to share more 😉

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

☕️ I stuck abroad with my partner and currently have no friends yet in most places where I've been traveling to. I would love to meet new people, learn about local or your native culture and just talk. We can have a coffee together, or walk on the streets, parks and see around.

🛋 I don't really travel anymore, I move to live, stay about for two months in a country. I visited some Couchsurfing meetings in Ukraine long time ago and I met very interesting people there. Also, I had very positive experience traveling to central and western Europe in 2018 and meeting people via couch surfing. I am happy to be part of the community.

I have also to say thanks to CouchSurfing team for making the service free for Ukrainians 🙏

📘 It was a conference. Unexpectedly, a lot of people come with towel on their necks and said: ‘It’s a “towel day” today. Didn’t you know? Read the Douglas Adams’ I was really impressed but currently I am proud to say The Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy is my favourite. I even bought the new towel after reading of the series and carrying it with me all the time since 2017!

🎞 The Matrix — the only movie I love for all the time; perhaps because I am a tech person. Generally, I like science fiction, drama and philosophical movies.

🎶 The favorite track is Apocalyptica – Faraway, it’s like honey for the soul. I like Yiruma, Hans Zimmer, Ludovico Einaudi. However, I listen almost all music: rock, indie, pop, latin.

📚 More about books, I read non-fiction mostly: popular psychology, business and tech literature.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

It was the summer of 2013. My friend an I finished a high school where we had a passion about IT olympiads and started own one. Years have been coming and we continuously made challenges for Ukrainian high school students related to office technologies, database management, web development.

Finally this year we decided that we close out Internet-Olympiad of Information Technologies and move forward.

So, now I can say: ‘I am done with it.’ And it was amazing!

👨‍💻 I am expert in web development and have wide experience in software engineering. I can talk about technologies all the time.
