Overview
About Me
I love practicing martial arts, singing, yoga, dancing, hiking, mushroom foraging, and cooking. I like riding a bike around San Francisco and when I visit new bike-friendly cities. Some other things I love to do when I have the opportunity are kayaking, whitewater rafting, snorkeling, and surfing. I get along easily with almost everyone. I like to bring good vibes, fun, and gratitude everywhere I go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and meeting new people is the best part.
In early June I'm going to Portland for a five day training on psychedelic assisted group therapy. I'm hoping to find a couchsurf in or close to NE Portland.
In September my partner Nadia and I will be traveling in France and Italy. We'd love to meet some local queer folks while we're there.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I started with favorite artists and it's hard to balance not leaving people out with not making this too long. So instead, my favorite genres- folk, hip hop, reggaeton, musicals, and some 90's/00's pop/alternative/rock nostalgia
Shows: Severance, Russian Doll, A League of Their Own, Yellowjackets, The OA, Broad City, The Queen's Gambit
Movies: Everything Everywhere All At Once, I Heart Huckabees, Polite Society, Coherence, Hustlers, Inside Man, Hairspray (the original)
Books: Fetch, Rent Girl, Kindred, Parable of the Sower, Lilith's Brood trilogy, Native Tongue, Dog Songs
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once kayaked 90 miles in 8 days through eastern Oregon wilderness with all my equipment on the back of my kayak, camping along the shore of the river each night. I don't often do things that hardcore, but I'm glad to know I have it in me.
I won a gold medal and two silver medals in martial arts at the 2018 Gay Games.
I know that's two things, but I'm equally proud so it was hard to choose.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: Vegan cooking, self-defense, beginner yoga, beginner Spanish
I love to learn new vegan recipes. I'm hoping to (re)learn a little bit of French before visiting Paris in September.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a very good cook and would be happy to make a meal to share with plenty of leftovers for your fridge/freezer. If you want to learn to cook something vegan and delicious, I'd be happy to teach you.
Self-defense. I've taught self-defense for many years and can tailor a lesson to your concerns. I can teach a group of up to eight students if you'd like to invite friends/family/housemates to participate.
Reciprocal hosting! I have a nice apartment in downtown San Francisco. My partner and I are happy to host you if you're ever coming into town and we can work out the dates.
