Hello! I am a 21 year old American student who is currently traveling around Asia and will be heading home to the states shortly to finish my undergrad degree. I am majoring in International Studies and Women's and Gender Studies. I am a dog lover, adventure seeker, risk taker, avid reader, and most of all I live for travel (and tasty food). I am a student on a severe budget after traveling for 8 months with little to no income. I am looking for a way to travel on a budget, while still meeting new people. I almost always travel alone so meeting people in hostels is one of the best parts of traveling. Couch surfing would allow me to spend more money doing the things I love, and getting to spend time with new people.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love hearing music, seeing movies, and reading books from different countries because America can often be cut off from the rest of the world and I am very curious what people think and like elsewhere. I really like alternative music, as well a R&B. I love classic movies that make you think, or movies about a certain issue, particularly documentaries. I like reading (or listening to) books that are classics, or have underlying meanings of metaphors. I really enjoy George Orwell type books and I am always interested in reading a new book!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I recently studied abroad in Shanghai, China! In China, I was able to study Chinese and now speak at the Advanced Level. I was able to see the Great Wall, The Bund, and the Terra-cotta Warriors. I also completed some research on how the youth of China view social media's purpose, function, and level of control in China, and how it compares to the US. I would love to share my findings and experience with you as it was very interesting!

I am majoring in International Studies and Women's and Gender Studies so I try to stay aware of the social constructs and underlying implications of laws, opinions, events, and expectations.
