Music, Movies, and Books

Just too many to cite here. And I really hope to know friends who are also crazy about films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To master an instrument, aka violin. To study abroad and make friends with people from different cultural background. To get bunch of fellowship by working and studying hard.

Teach, Learn, Share

1. My personal life experience, and my feeling and understanding of different cultures.

Well, from most people's point of view, I really have a smooth life so far. Grew up from a middle-class family with parents working in academia and government. They provided the best they can for me but NEVER spoiled me. Unlike other traditional Chinese parents, my folks are very open-minded and American type. They never force me to do something. No curfew, no academic pressure, no endless comparison with others' kids. So unlike most of the Chinese kids grew up with numerous restrictions, I can become the person I want to be, with their appropriate guidance and help. The only requirement they have for me is to becoming a real man who can burden the responsibility of the family and most importantly--myself. And also be a nice generous person to be benificial to the society. My parents influence a lot.

Moreover, having a open-mind parents mean it's much easier for me to accept and be eager to learn about different cultures. I always believe the biggest problem of human being and the reason for so many conflicts around world is the lack of communication between each other. With more understanding and care, mankind can overcome our deepest inner problem.

The best thing I got since I came to USA is the diversity of this country. Though my motherland aka China has vast territory and so many different cultures and ethnics, it still cannot be compared to the diversity of this immigration country. I always think it's the continuous "New & Fresh Blood" to this country which makes it the super power of the world. Talking with my classmates and colleagues from different backgrounds and countries really fulfill my life. Studying and maybe working in USA is my first step to become a cosmopolite. And I sincerely hope in the future, I can have my steps on every continent of this marvelous planet.

2. My hobbies. My life style. And my untimate personal goals.

I like movies. I love movies. I'm crazy about movies. It is the first window to see and get to know the world. How incredible that so many plots and characters and the topic can be unveiled in such a short time. Not mention the visual effects, the editing and the soundtracks are all enjoyable.

Other than movies, reading books and watching sports are also my cup of tea. There is a saying that "uncivilize our bodies, civilize our brains". Competitive sports are always a lot of fun to watch and a good opportunity to relax. Just let your mind flow with the rythm of the balls. When I have time, I'd like to participate in those sports personally and meet new friends by playing with them. It's always a good chance to meet new friends.

My ultimate goal is very simple. There is a saying in Chinese that "Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles." My life just started.
Anyway, be a good citizen, a good man, good son, good boyfriend. And when it comes, be a good husband and good father.

What I Can Share with Hosts

1. Since I'm literally interested in EVERYTHING, and dare have a try. It will be fun to follow/guide the host toward some fantastic experiences.
2. All my life experiences. From toddler to a yound adult. A smooth life doesn't mean it's not interesting or exciting.
3. My understanding of many aspects of world, including society, politics and economy. We can talk about any topic. And most importantly, I'm a good listener. I like to know about others' experience.
4. My passion toward movies! Hell yea!
