A scientist, entrepreneur, traveler, photographer, TuiNa massage therapist and social advocate who want to “make a dent in the universe”. I work in the Yale/VA hospital research unit finding cures for patients with chronic pain. This makes me appreciate how fortunate we are just to travel, meet new people and live without extensive pain.

I grew up in Shanghai, China and spent almost 10 years in USA since my graduate school. I like to meet people with all kinds of culture backgrounds and found the experiences fascinating.

Most of my previous travels involved big hotel groups like Hilton and Hyatt, but I was recent introduced to couch surfing which turned out to be a new, fun way to meet interesting people. I had friends from China, Japan, Korea, Australia, England, Germany and Italy who came by my place to stay before. But now, couchsurfing.org makes it possible for me to open my door for new people!

Travel and take photos. Travel is always an exciting adventure for me and photography is one way for me to create my perspectives towards the world. During other time, I enjoy reading book, watching movie and going to gym regularly.

I do skiing in the winter and hiking/camping in the summer.

I like good Sci-Fi movie like "Matrix"; good drama like "Forrest Gump". I love "Big Bang Theory" and equally love "the fabric of the cosmos" for some real knowledge of modern physics!

I like to watch/read any movies/books that provoke thinking but I cannot tolerate movies/books in which the story logic is broken.

My musics selection is wild, from classic, pop musics of 80' to the current hits

If during your travel, you want your moments taken with a professional DSLR, I do casual portrait upon mutual agreement (for free, of course).

The "shanghai style" food I made has been highly praised by my friends. If you like Asian food, you will love what you may taste at my place!
