ABOUT ME

I'm a very confident, open-minded and sometimes funny guy. When I was in university, my pals used to call me a party animal. I'm always up for a laugh, a drink, and maybe a few games of pool or cards. I've been travelling around the globe, mainly for works, and surely I can share all my experience with you without reservation.

I got myself verified not long after I registered, when I realised how good this concept of free couch surfing could be. It's not a matter of making profits from it, but to learn from people all over the world of their experiences, their prospects of the life, and their ways of living.

PHILOSOPHY

Having everything is worse than having nothing at all. (This quote is from one of my best mates, who passed away not long after he wrote me this back in 1994. I miss you, mate!)

If you are looking for some local whose English is as good as Chinese, who's willing to share everything interesting about Beijing, China, or the whole world, and who's always up for drinks and good meals, I'm your man! Also, if you are able to vouch for me after your stay, I'll be extremely grateful for that!

And yes, by the look of my profile, you can see a few people leaving me references as hosts. In fact, I've never surfed any couch. These guys are either not good at English, or not very careful readers, haha! I only host people. I don't know when my first time will be to lay my head on someone else's couch!

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Apart from an almost 5000-mile cross-country drive through the USA in 2010, I also travelled to relatively remote places like Argentina, Australia and etc. Joining the Chinese TV team for 2012 London Olympics is my most recent adventure.

I've experienced millions of good things and met tens of decent people via this website, but there's an important lesson that I've learned:

There are bad guys all over the world, so be extra careful. Always read through your potential guest's profile before considering to accept him/her, especially you need to check all the negatives and neutrals, no matter how many positives he/she has got.

There are people who, even you make it clear that you drink and smoke, and make it clear that you enjoy people who at least don't mind you smoke, still complain about your drinking and smoking in your own home. I see them as jokes and some people who need immediate medical care.

Life is a complex web of relationships, and some people are either too kind or too fearful to leave a negative to someone who annoys him/her. However, they are sometimes giving hints to this guy. So always try to read between the lines.
