Hello there! My name's Yann, I'm from Nice, in France. I'm an student in my engineering degree's last year.
I've not been very adventurous as a teenager, but this changed recently, and with my first incomes I decided I wanted to start travelling around the world!

I plan on spending my weeks abroad visiting the beautiful places the cities have to offer, hiking and maybe camping in the countryside, swimming in the blue, and of course living the local life by going out and meeting natives & fellow travelers!

I have various passions and get easily interested in many things. That's why I always like to learn stuff and try out new activities!
My dream is to participate to the French version of Survivor, "Koh-Lanta", so I've started my training journey, and I try to spend my spare time in this direction : swimming, hiking, slacklining, bouldering...
I also enjoy playing video games, and always love hanging out with my friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just created my account after booking the first solo travel of my life! And couchsurfing seems like a great way to meet locals, but also eventually other travelers of course. I really want to live this experience at 100% and I think meeting people on the road is the way to go.

Also, I'd be grateful to meet with people who travel to Nice. I can't offer a place to stay unfortunately, living in a small 9m² room, but I'd love to share with you our culture!

Music, Movies, and Books

I mainly listen to three music genres : EDM/techno, video game music and rap.

My favorite movie is "Fear City: A Family-Style Comedy", french classic, but since no one except us knows about it i'd say Alien or Matrix.

My favorite video game is The Legend of Zelda : Majora's Mask, true piece of art!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My Erasmus in Belgium, it was awesome to start a new life without being acquainted with anyone, discovering the city all by myself!

I can teach you the local language from Nice, the nissart, despite even here you'll struggle to find anyone who understands you....
As I said, I'm always happy to learn stuff and I'd love to learn about more cultures since I've lived in France for almost my whole life!
I'd love to do hikes as a group, discover cool places to eat & drink, and the city nightlife with locals!
