My name is Yanna, I was born and grew up in Germany. I graduated from school in 2012 and spent the year after working as an Au Pair girl in Brighton. During my time as Au Pair I travelled through Europe a lot and discovered how happy it makes me to stray in the world as a backpacker and meet people from other countries. At the moment I'm back in Germany doing an internship in a small film production company and finishing uni. I'm trying to become a writer and director, but until that it's still a long way.. I'm a pretty laid-back person and easy to get along with. Apart from the obvious (traveling) I love music, films, literature and everything artistic in generally. I was told that I radiate an "artistic spirit" (one of my favourite things someone said about me, I hope that's true ^^).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing brings the world a bit closer together and it helps not to only be tourist in a place, but to actually get in touch with other cultures and the people in it. So far, I've always met interesting and interested people via Couchsurfing, that makes it quite an awesome thing to do and a special place to be.
I'm very passionate about a lot of things. I love being creative in different ways, it's what gives me balance after a long day of not so much creative work. I like meeting new people or old friends and at other times I feel like enjoying the silence in my bed with a good book. I am an addict I have to admit, of some movies and tv-shows (Game of Thrones and Mr. Robot are just too awesome!). Oh and I've been kind of obsessed with the UK and the British accent since I was 12 or something - Still in love, even after the Brexit Vote :(
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a bit of everything. I love Coldplay, Arcade Fire, La Roux, The Cure, Birdy, Tegan and Sara, Mika, Depeche Mode, The Beatles, Oasis, Simon and Garfunkel, Regina Spektor, The Kooks, Phoenix, John Lennon, Chvrches, Daft Punk, many, many soundtracks and and and...
Some of my favorite movies are (but this is just a small collection) The Boat that Rocked, Madame Bovary (2015 version), Her, Atonement, Love Actually, Nowhere Boy, We need to talk about Kevin, The Graduate, Drive, Carol, 500 Days of Summer, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Hunger Games Series, Into the Wild, Miss Marple (the films starring Margaret Rutherford), The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter (obviously, as a 90's child :p), some of the Tatort teams (super-german crime film series) and most Steven Spielberg and Woody Allen movies. I also love watching "old" movies and British series like The Avengers or The Prisoner. I'm quite into the Sherlock Series (BBC) and Breaking Bad.
Game of Thrones and Mr. Robot are just epic.
Books: Harry Potter, The Catcher in the Rye, The Perks of being a Wallflower, A Separate Peace, Fahrenheit 451 and Kafka and F. S. Fitzgerald. +I try to read a lot of american and british "classics".
