ABOUT ME

Well, I'm still studying. phd studies right now...mathematics. might sound boring to most people but it has got it's fun parts :-).

I love sports and traveling. Most, I like to combine both, that is to travel by bike.
I have been to Asia (for studying) for a year in summer 2011 and traveled quite a bit. I really enjoyed that.

PHILOSOPHY

Take a bike and see what's around.

Since I am in Freiburg I get many many couch requests - quite often it has happened that ppl don't show up without prior notice in the end even though I tried hard to fit visitors into my schedule. That is really disappointing. Please only ask for a couch if you are a reliable person. To indicate that you've read my profile please refer to my favourite sport road cycling and name the german word for it "Rennrad".

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS some time in 2010 and met lots of nice ppl. Besides Hosting and Surfing I enjoy the frequent CS events here in Freiburg. It's nice that we have meeting at least once a months.

I love to get to know lots of people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I used to be a professional bike rider I have stayed at several places for training camps all around the world. But most of it was in times when CS wasn't very popular at all.
The first "real" contact to CS was at New Years Eve 2010/11 in Oslo. We had some cool parties and I enjoyed meeting nice, friendly and open minded people.
Meanwhile I also got to know some people at the local CS-meetings in Aachen, have had couchsurfers over at my place and stayed in Amsterdam as well as in the United States (of. A.). Like it very much!

Sports, Sports, Sports...I used to be a professional bike rider, so I still like it even though university takes up a lot of my time nowadays.
Most people don't know how nice their home country is because they don't get around much when they're not traveling.

Oh, lots of traveling with cycling. Sweden, South Africa, China! That was amazing. Got to know lots of people over there.
Well, I also had a girlfriend from Canada for quite a long time; I really enjoyed traveling there.
other than that the "usual travels": USA west coast, a ton of countries and cities in Europe and so on...
