Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I absolutely loved the idea of Couch Surfing the moment I heard it. It is the perfect way to travel. It is amazing to be able to make actual connections with people from all over the world. The idea of actually sharing your home with a stranger is beautiful, what a perfect way to break down the social barriers that are so often thrust upon us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

2009 was part of music a project in India for 2 months and had an amazing time meeting and staying with people we met on Couchsurfing. This is truly a global family!! Previous to that my band and I went on tour through the Southern part of this country. We went through Oklahoma, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Tennessee. It was amazing! One of the guys in the band is a member of couch surfing and lined up places for us to stay in each town we were in. It was the absolute best way to meet the cool people in a town, not only that but you get plugged into the cool things to do in each city you are in, it was perfect!! While in Lafayette the girl we stayed with even gave us a tour of the swamps, THANKS GWEN!!!, and took us to eat crawfish etufe(sp). I really felt like I made some good friends on the trip. Oh yea and its FREEEEEE!!! F*%king awsome!

Books: I don't have much time to read, I wish I did. I read Adbusters a lot and recently got a book called Post Secret. Its fun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was able to stand on top of Wanchu Pichu and gaze down, through the clouds at an ancient civilization on top of a mountain, Machu Pichu. More Importantly I was able to share this amazing experience with my best friends.

Oh, and once I got to drive a NASCAR..........120 mph is really fast!

I want to share the common thread within us all. I want to experience in everyone the very thing that makes us human, community and understanding of our place on this vast planet. We have the opportunity with this site, to explore each other's homes and lives. Lets make the most of it, lets create bonds that will last a lifetime.
