About Me
Hello everyone,
I am Yaren from Türkiye. I am studying English Language and Literature in Türkiye and am now in Lisbon as an Erasmus student. I enjoy meeting new people from around the world, and cities. Since my childhood, I have been trying to participate in projects that unite people from different places. I attended a one-week camp when I was little. Then I went to another city and stayed at a family's house as part of the project. Finally, 4 years ago, I made an Erasmus in Poland for a week and I was a guest in a family's house again. Now I am here for my Erasmus education in Lisbon.
When I finish school in May here, I want to do a little tour of Europe before going back to my country. I found Couchsurfing thinking it would be great if I could meet new people as well as see new places. I believe that exploring new places, meeting new people, and the number of things that I could learn from them, by stepping out of my comfort zone are gonna make me a better person, more understanding, and more loving to anybody no matter what culture or which part of the world they belong to. I am respectful of all cultures and religions and I expect to see the same respect for mine. I love discovering new places, nature, and taking photographs, and sometimes vlogging my days to keep a memory!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to Bohemian Rhapsody over and over. The Show Must Go On, Killer Queen, Don't Stop Me Know .. in short, all songs of Queen :) Also, sometimes in the year I really get obsessed with listening to Remembrance by Balmorhea.
Maybe it is cliche but Harry Potter may be the only series that I watch constantly. I also enjoy watching animation movies.
I like Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. And its film is also amazing.
The books of Zülfü Livaneli, especially ''Serenad''
Sonnets of Shakespeare
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I experienced zipline last year and it was amazing. Now, I would like to try surfing :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my culture and language. I can make you Turkish coffee if you like ( if I can bring Turkish coffee, because I am not in my country right now.) I can try to cook some foods from Turkish cuisine. ( if we can find ingredients)
