Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled to 30+ countries (and plan on increasing this number) and have always been amazed by the generosity of people who helped me for no reason, so I guess I just want to be helpful to other fellow travelers.

When I travel I prefer immersing into the local culture instead of staying at Marriott.
All around the world locals know better what's worth seeing and trying.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

* Got lost in Okinawa and accidentally ended up on the beach where jet fighters were training and were flying so low and close I could probably see a smile on pilot's face.

* Drove a lost tourist in California to the nearest train station.

* Helped a girl in Costa Rica cross the street because she was afraid of many stray dogs running nearby.

* Moved to Las Vegas!

* Fostered cats

* hosted couchsurfers & surfed myself

Next on my to-do list:
* teach math, physics or computer science (my diploma qualifies me for teaching, but I've never done it)
