ABOUT ME

I'm a terrible writer, it takes me weeks to compose the simplest of emails...twenty minutes have already passed and this is all I have...Ugh.
And I know that a classic way to avoid talking about yourself is to talk about talking about yourself...but the words are already down and now I've added ten more minutes to the clock.
A rant of Information (or how I evade my fear of text)
I love travelling - well no I'm not sure if that's true...I love the moments that I love when I'm travelling, One of my favourite being that time in the airport (in this scenario it's limited to the airport) when you're just starting a journey and you've checked in the bag and there's nothing to do but wait I go to the nearest bar and really enjoy the beer or two, it's limbo but it's the perfect limbo where everything is still possible but nothing has to be done.
Reading this I realize it is the most sterile, uninteresting moment of any travel...oh well, it stays, for some reason it's all I had.
I'll try again.
I love food (who doesn't), I love good beer really good beer and there's so much out there. I make films and get paid as a visual effects artist, I try to go away as much as possible. A few years ago a friend and I began travelling by Kayak (we each bought our own fold up kayaks). Urban kayaking...it's great. We've paddled around Cuba, Greece and some of the Danube (Romania and Serbia). I have a love hate relationship with films. I read a lot...I like people, I like hanging out, I love laughing, just connecting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only just signed up so my participation at this point is mostly anticipatory. I'm leaving for the Balkans and middle east very soon, and will try and use couch surfing to meet up with people. Otherwise once I return, we are going to make our couch (actually more of a little unit) available. My girlfriend and I have been meaning to do this for a while but have only just finished renovations.

Interests

I'm interested in all sorts of things - until they become uninteresting and then I quickly find something else of interest - I love being interested.
