My name is Yash Zhang. I use he/they pronouns. I am a documentary filmmaker based in London, currently pursuing a MFA at University College London.

Music, nature, and films are three essential aspects of my life. I enjoyed my time with nature and they healed me so much. I would go to farms to help with farming and weeding every summer and winter break.
I also often engage with activism, queer, and feminism comunities in London.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me couchsurfing is a giving and receivng process. It's not falling in the capitalistic category of exchange of materials or money but an exchange of heart and warmth with other human fellows.

I can teach you how to beatbox Also, I'd like to share anything I know about films including filmmaking and film theory. I like philosophy as well. I have been studying early modern philosophy recently and definitely willing to discuss with you if you're interested.

I also plays guitar, drums, handpan, tongue drums. I always bring my healing tongue drum with me when traveling.
