About Me
Hello!
So after quite a few years (!) of thinking about it and postponing it, I finally subscribe on CouchSurfing! This being said, I guess I can say that I really really really like people, I like talking and listening, I like to read and I really like movies and especially documentaries. I love walking alone or listening to music also. I try to travel here and there when it's possible, and to welcome people at my house to get a whisp of travelling air when I have to stay in one place. I think I like travelling as much as I like staying in one place and building relationships and projects. I also want to be respectful towards people and things, so I try to remind me of that once in a while. Oh and I study political science in university. I just finished a bachelor (licence) and will shortly start a Masters. I am very interested in subjects like autonomy, liberty, responsibility, anarchism, feminism and queer politics, immigration and critical thinking, and other stuff also sometimes! And I live in the french-speaking part of Canada (Quebec) so i speak French better than English. Voila!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am no Couchsurfing because I like to travel and when I do travel, I really like to peak into the places I go to with the help of people living there, when possible. I think I can learn so much from people while travelling, and also I don't mind sleeping on the floor or on a couch so I try to mix both things!
Music, Movies, and Books
I love music. I like hip-hop a lot, but also music from quebec (folk, hip-hop, chanson). I also like jazz and pop music sometimes. I like dub, grime, UK funky, cumbia, electronic music such as some House...
Recently I read "L'homme revolte" from Albert Camus and loved it. I also like his plays. I like to read plays a lot (Ionesco, Sartre, Genet, Rene-Daniel Dubois...). I also love Virginia Woolf (Mrs Dalloway, To the Lighthouse...).
I like movies a lot but I am very bad with names. Recently I watched Slacker (Richard Linklater) and really enjoyed it! I also like documentaries a lot, we can talk about it if you want.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
With some friends of university we started a food collective and were able to give out around 300 free vegan plates of food each week, to whomever would come to our events. That was a lot of fun.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experience of things, or nice dinners, talks, laughs maybe! I also know some things so we can also talk about that!
