About Me

CURRENT MISSION

figure out what life's all about (or at least to the point where I can say "good enough"), get creative, find/explore new passions and fuel existing ones, meeting new people :)

ABOUT ME

hm I'm pretty much a nerd (although everyone seems to define nerd/geek differently)(but why yes I DO like videogames and am pretty good with pcs)
but I guess I just obsess over so much different stuff (see interests)
I'm said to have a odd, yet most of the time charming humor (I would NEEEEVER be sarcastic , though (that was sarcastic, but it's pretty hard to convey that with text, isn't it...aaaw darn it :P))
I would describe myself as a rather shy person, although most of my friends would certainly disagree.
I've been rather quiet lately, but I'm usually someone who can chat about stuff very enthusiastically (although I'm not the best when it's "just" smalltalk, the weather isn't that interesting a topic, is it?REALLY? :D)

well but everything and everyone changes so fast, I don't know if you really can be accurate here

PHILOSOPHY

if ignorance is bliss, I'd rather be miserable? I guess something along those lines...or well... I guess there are so many options I just can't decide :D

Well, I guess than it could be "have a look at all the options :) and if you discover what you don't want to do, that brings you closer to what you REALLY want"

but i recently realised, that too many options can leave you stunned sometimes ^^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I'm travelling right now, and had a pretty cool WWOOFing experience (www.wwoof.ca , if anyone is interested in a farmstay, with farms all over the world) and it was a pretty awesome way to meet some locals..

so that was awesome and I hope that, now that I'm travelling east, Couchsurfing will be just as great :)

And once I have my own place, I would love to offer a couch to fellow travellers :D

Interests

Art, literature, philosophy, psychology, physics, anything technology-related (pcs to "sciency stuff"), movies and tv series, games etc..

but I really am a book nut :)

I also like going to museums, or hiking or just walking through a city (don't have a driver's license, so back home i reach everything by walking or biking there, if it's possible of course :D)
and hanging out, going to a bar every once in a while, or some random stuff like roadtrips, shenanigans etc

Music, Movies, and Books

anything by quentin tarantino (i.e. Pulp Fiction , jackie Brown, Inglorious basterds etc.), fight club, inception ,memento, pirates of the carribean, the bourne movies, shutter island...oh and zombie/splatter-movies , e.g. dawn of the dead or Braindead :D but also dramas/comedies ... Lost in translation, pride and prejudice, 500 days of summer, aaah I gotta stop I know too many movies

music...hmmm.. a perfect circle, the killers, frittenbude (chip stand, electropunk :P ),La Roux,Sara Watkins, mumford and sons, jonathan coulton, placebo, heaven shall burn, rise against... ah just too many bands

craig fergusons novel and his autobiographie are pretty awesome.. john dies at the end.. some examples of the "modern" stuff i read recently
but i'm getting into more classical stuff again as of late (well i never really stopped)

also lots of non-fiction, right now the black swan:the impact of the highly improbable by taleb (very interesting, and sciency)
or SOULPANCAKE!

and I'm getting into podcasts lately, like The Nerdist (lots of actors and comedians :D)

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess if any technical problems come up, I might be able to solve them? And show you how!

Or German?

I also have been thaught some pretty neat cooking and baking tricks (well, I'm probably not the most amazing chef ever, but it's still fun...and...yay food!)

Or some basic knitting techniques? xD
