About Me

Ok, so, hello there :-)

It's been a while since I updated this field. Where should I start, jeez? Maybe the part "about me" I'll start from the fact that I don't really like to talk about me :-) It makes me feel uncomfortable to be in a spotlight like this ;-)

Since 2015 I live and work in London. So far I'm a barista, but it's just a matter of time until I get less lazy and I'll start to look for something in my field, which is chemical and food technology.

Most of my adult life I spent in Wrocław, Poland, when I was studying and working for a while. Such a great city!

Since my social life looks like a tumbleweed on a lonely desert, my free time is consumed mostly by TV shows, which I do L-O-V-E and I'm watching far too many! Arrested Development? Parks and Recreation? Pushing Daisies? Black Mirror? You bet! :-)

Another thing - board games! :-) Well, maybe not "board games" as much as something I like to call "party games" (Taboo, Time's Up, Jungle Speed, Dobble). Another title worth mentioning is Carcassonne :-) I have so many of the extensions but literally noone to play with :P I also really like Ultrastar - it gives me the fake hope that I actually can sing, haha! :-) But as I said, since London there's noone to play with. My life - so interesting...

I also enjoy cooking and baking. Since I moved to London I don't really do it that much, cause I have a lot of food from my workplace, but from time to time it's always nice to cook some fancy meal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be honest, I would really like to visit many countries, but with my sad salary it is quite difficult and unaffordable :/ So basicly CouchSurfing and carpooling sites are the best options! Yaaaaaay!

Besides, if you really want to know the city you're in, there's no better way than with locals! During my CS experience I've seen so many great places that I would never have a chance to see with just a guide-book!

And another thing, let's be real - you really need to be open-minded to stay in some stranger's place and to host some strangers. That's why I love CS - if you're in this community that already means that you're out-of-the-box person! And that's amazing! I've never been disappointed so far!

Back in Poland I used to host people as well, which I enjoyed a lot! Right now I share a room, so it's impossible, but I hope to find some place in future where I can host people again!
