ABOUT ME

I am in a very strange place in my life. Many things shaking and falling apart, many more coming together. I am an optimist, but sometimes realism shines through.
I don't have much time to hang out, but I try to make the best of what I have. I don't sleep much, so that helps.
Oh... and I love New York and I love meeting new people. I think that's the equation for a great night out on the town.

PHILOSOPHY

I changed very much over the past five years. I am still trying to figure out all the details of this new persona of mine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I host a lot (not through CS) and I do go to some CS meetings (not much though. Would love to change it in the near future).

I've been couch surfing Europe and hosting in NY for at least ten years now:)

Interests

Sadly, I am interested in a lot more things than I manage to participate in. I read -- a lot. I play chess. I do yoga. I love anything that has anything to do with the beach. I hike, sail, and climb... with various degrees of success. I want to learn capoiera, but probably never will. I have two left feet, but continue trying to learn to ski, rollerblade, and dance. Also I would love to learn to meditate productively:) If anyone is interested in teaching me, please let me know!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I collect moments, so picking one or two is hard. I was mesmerized to see lava run smooth as a stream from the volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii, but then the rainbow over the Waimea canyon left me speechless. I flew over Manhattan on a bright sunny day thinking this is the most amazing view there is, but California's Big Sur leaves me wondering whether that's still true. I felt the power of the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, yet Tel Aviv's beaches and Yaffo's art are what I see in my dreams. I fell in love with every bit of Florence's history, only to have my heart crushed by Vernazza's nature. I give up... I don't know what leaves me awestruck...
