To take a deep breath and enjoy every minute of life that I have been given. Also, I strive to work to live, and not the other way around.

ABOUT ME

I am a paralegal, and I currently work at a labor union law firm, and I previously worked in immigration. I am a news junkie who appreciates good discussion and good humor.

I live in Los Angeles, CA, I grew up in Dallas, TX, and I have also lived in Berkeley, CA, Boston, MA, and Saarbrucken, Germany (I studied abroad there)

I like hanging out with friends, reading, discussing politics and current events and culture, enjoying a good drink and meal, listening to music, eating interesting food, and traveling when I can! I consider myself a pretty chill person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been hosted by some really cool people, and I will return on the CouchSurfing road more in the future. I am not able to host right now, but I will when I am able!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Paris for a few days, Berlin twice, Munich for a few days, London for like a day (but I wish we had more time there and that the night transit was better!), hanging out with CouchSurfers here and there in different places.
There will be more to come in the future!

Interests

Reading, listening to music, hiking, traveling when I can, making crafts, hanging out with friends, and talking about politics, activism and human rights, and pop culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies= Dr. Strangelove, Star Wars, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Disney movies, The Big Lebowski, The Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings, and more.

For TV shows, I love Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, South Park, Kids in the Hall, Cowboy Bebop, and others. Much as my Star Wars loving self hates to admit this, I am also becoming a fan of Star Trek.

Music= Phish, Primus, Doors, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jurassic 5, Barenaked Ladies, Kendrick Lamar, St. Vincent, Wir Sind Helden, and lots of others. I appreciate most music any music except for slow/twangy country ballads.

Books= Crime and Punishment, Lady Chatterley's Lover, The New Jim Crow, Matilda and other Roald Dahl books, Bloom County and Calvin and Hobbes comic books, Harry Potter, and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was a kid, I horseback rode in Canyon de Chelly in Arizona. The canyon had white sand red walls, and, while we did not have helmets, the horses were free to gallop. It was such a liberating experience!

I can talk about American life and my experiences in California, Texas, and Massachusetts. I can also talk about what I have learned while traveling in Europe and elsewhere. And I am a news junkie who loves to talk about politics and current events, human rights, and pop culture.

I like learning, so I'm open to new knowledge!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge and opinions about American politics and culture, and my thoughts about international relations and human rights. I'm always down for a fun discussion and good times with food and drinks.
