About Me

I grew up in a lame town; so at 17, I ran off to Spain and fell in love. I've been slowly exploring the rest of the world ever since. Then, somehow, I landed in Alaska.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted many surfers and have occasionally surfed myself. I am inundated with couch requests every summer, and then receive very few visitors in the winter. I wish more people would visit Anchorage in the winter; it's the best time of the year.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite authors are Jaime Bayly, T.C. Boyle, and Gary Jennings. The best films are 20 Centímetros and Dancer in the Dark. As far as music goes, I listen to whatever sounds good.

Teach, Learn, Share

Tourist season is May 15 - September 15, the only time that all services are available throughout Alaska. I do not recommend April or October; it's ugly and not much is happening. The winter, November - March, is fantastic!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Fiji, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malawi, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Samoa, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In
