Hi, I’m Ye (Yeah), come from a small city (with three million people) in Northwestern China. After five years of study in Beijing, I decided to study economics in Germany. Until now I have been living in Germany for three years.

Last month I just finished my study, and I want to have an unforgettable graduation trip around Europe in this summer holiday. So here I am! Longing to explore something new, to make new friends in new cities. I’m open minded, easy going and flexible. I’m really interested in the foreign cultures, I would like to show the Chinese culture and customs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m fascinated by experiencing not only interesting cities and landmarks but also real cultural exchange at my destination. I have been an Airbnb guest many times and enjoy the sharing economy. I would like to be a mediator to develop cultural exchanges and enhancing cross-national mutual understanding.

Interests

Cooking, I’m good at making hand-made noodles and Chinese dishes. I also like to try new recipes from different regions, after three years of study in Tuebingen, I can cook some Swabian food (Mautache, Spaetzle…)

Fitness, I have been a fitness enthusiast since last year, however, there is not too much change on my body, still, I will keep on it. It’s a little bit hard for me to eat healthy, I just can’t resist delicious food.

Swimming and Hiking, mountains and lakes are my favorite places, and the best way to enjoy it: Is to go inside and explore it. Through a lush forest or Jumping into the crystal clear water makes me feel really relax.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I have not special taste, from rock music to church music I accept them all, it depends on where, when and who you enjoy the song with. My Favorite Singer: Utada Hikaru (宇多田 ヒカル), Ed Sheeran

Movie: I like watching comedy and romance, sometimes action film also cool for me, with Jackie Chen, Bruce Li, Jet Li. I won’t try again to watch horror film alone again… The series I have watched recently: Thirteen Reasons Why, The Handmaid's Tale, Sense 8.

Reading: I like to read some psychological articles, also science fictions and some romantic fiction… Recently I read The Three-body Problem, Call me by your name.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove from Stuttgart to Zurich alone at the beginning of June 2017, I really enjoy the landscape in Switzerland, the grand mountains, and large blue lakes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook Chinese cuisine, I can teach how to cook the authentic Shaanxi Biang-Biang noodle to you, also pan cakes. If you are learning Chinese, we can practice together.

If you want to play Dota 2, we can also in a premade team and play together, it must be a lot of fun.

If you also go to the gym, we can share about the bodybuilding experience and the ticks, although I’m a newbie in the gym, still many things to learn and to try out.
