Find a balance between work/career in an ever-changing fast-paced city and an unyielding yarning for nature, great food, music, family life, and many other things that compete for energy and attention with, well, work 🤔

ABOUT US

We are a family of two: started as coworkers at a tech company, became friends, then started a family 3 years ago.

In general we’re career-focused at the current stage, but we do enjoy traveling and spending time with friends from different cultures either at home or on the road. We bring a camera and a drone with us when we travel, recording the trips with vlogs. Maybe we’ll have a repository of 200+ travel films to watch in our 80s?

Fiona has a master degree in engineering and loves crafts and DIY projects but, above all, is a big-time foodie who’s into all kinds of cuisines, has a large refrigerator, and the passion to make food like a chef. A city girl who enjoys the hustle and bustle of metropolises, Fiona has lived in Hong Kong, New York and Beijing.

Yeats is into small & fun cars, blues music, enjoys the countryside and is 100% a dog lover. More of a bucolic soul, Yeats has a love/hate relation with Beijing, but began to enjoy the city more in recent years.

Both of us enjoy traveling, for it makes us more aware, lively plus it teaches us how to better appreciate life. Although we cannot host guests at the moment, we’d love to show you about our city Beijing, share some of our favorite places to visit, eat, or simply have a good time chatting.

We live in a diverse and at times divisive world that sometimes we forget we have more in common than differences. That’s why we love this community because people connect on CS so we can build bondings in-person, offline.

What we seek on CS: good conversations, exchange of thoughts, some genuine connection.
