Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We love to travel but hate the huge expense of hotels. We'd love to be a landing pad for fellow travelers (even here in the rural midwest)!
ABOUT ME
I finished my MFA in poetry at the University of Idaho in May 2011, and then we moved back to the midwest to be closer to family. I work for Higher Grounds Trading Co. (fair trade/organic coffee roastery), and my husband is a career natural-foods guy. We love being married, and we're ridiculously and wonderfully compatible.
PHILOSOPHY
We strive to love those around us and treat everyone with respect and generosity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Jen crashed on a fellow CS couch in Rome back in 2007. That was our introduction to this great community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Jen was connected with a CouchSurfer in Rome when she needed a place to crash for one night. We've since surfed in Denver, Seattle, California, North Carolina, Scotland (Edinburgh), Paris, Italy (Milan, Parma, Reggio Emilia), Tenerife (Canary Islands), and Colombia. Thanks be for generous new friends! Hoping for more to come.

Music, Movies, and Books
Radioparadise.com plays everything we want to hear. We don't read as much as we'd like to, which is obviously our own fault...but Jen does read food blogs and cooking magazines religiously. Jen's favorite movie of all time is High Fidelity.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jen lived in Edinburgh, Scotland for 6 months after college. What a glorious city.
Jordan hiked a huge chunk of the Appalachian Trail.
