About Me
Heyyyyyyy 你好
I’m Yedong from Suzhou and currently in Montreal. I speak Wu Suzhou dialect, Mandarin Chinese, English, and currently struggling with French. I feel like that traveling is more than tourist attractions and beautiful landscapes, but also about local life, and to see, to experience another way of living. Sometimes, I imagine myself as an anthropologist who’s doing field study. Culture, an elusive thing, embedded in every aspects of the environment around us. Whenever in a new city, I love to take a bus, visit local markets or just sitting by the window ordering a glass of coffee, observing every walks of life flowing in front of me. My dream, like every other traveler, is to visit every country of the world, but I’d like to do it slow. Sometimes I may wonder a traveler 1000 years later, by that time, everything will be in its developed phase, and the world will tend to be the same, won’t it be boring to travel by that time?
I will be available to host in Suzhou from 12/30-1/14.
