ABOUT ME

I'm a male who also happens to be gay (which is a very minor part of my identity) with a deep desire to travel and through it to understand much more about the world I live in. I am also a musician and composer who works mostly in the ambient/drone genres. Of course, I dabble quite a bit in other genres and in visual arts (my current preferred medium is screenprinting). I also really like cooking as long as I can find a recipe that doesn't look too daunting.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat all humans and animals with respect and try to do no harm. Improve as a person in any way you can as often as you can. Aside from that, have ridiculous amounts of fun!

Interests

Well, that's a bit complicated. Music is definitely one of the top interests, including listening, playing, studying - in fact, I originally wanted to study music composition and theory for my major in college, but that kinda fell apart. I enjoy the outdoors, good food (both making and eating), reading and writing, computer/video games, politics, board games, tabletop RPGs, studying psychedelics, and probably a zillion other things that I'm forgetting to mention!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The community summer solstice celebration on the Yalakom River. Truly one of the greatest experiences of my life. I do not think I have met more incredbily amazing people in one place at any time. In fact, someone I met there inspired me to register here!

And then, of course, working on a farm over near Lytton in British Columbia was just amazing. A life changing experience, to be sure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit about music theory and love discussing music in all forms (any genre, compositional techniques, etc). I also have an interest in psychedelics and wish I could know a lot more about their history and their present - in fact, I'm back in college and trying to get into anthropology to study psychedelics from a cultural view (use by indigenous groups as well as use in modern Western culture). Of course, I'm open to learning just about anything. I love exchanging cooking recipes and hope to pick up quite a repertoire (particularly in the area of baking, which I am lacking skills and knowledge of!)
