About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Yenlin, and I’m a Taiwanese professional living in the US who loves the perspective shift that traveling brings. I’ve been part of the CS community for a while now and have been lucky enough to experience the kindness and hospitality that makes here so special. I’m a respectful and appreciative guest, always excited to learn something new from a fellow traveler. Looking forward to many more wonderful connections! :))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After getting my master's degree, I have some gap months before diving into the corporate world. That's the starting point of my travelling journey - I love exploring the world, experiencing distinct cultures, and listening to couchsurfer philosophies, which I believe is always special and deserved to be learned.

Interests

My biggest hobby is singing, and I'd love to sing for you/along with you if you'd like! Of course I'm not professional, but singing always heals and soothes my soul. I'm also into a deep conversation, talking about the meaning of life and how humans play roles in this world… there’re endless topics to talk about truly.

Music, Movies, and Books

My playlist is a mix of alternative rock, indie, and pop. Since I’m currently learning Spanish, I’ve also been getting into Spanish songs and reguetón, which has been a fun way to practice! When it comes to books, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I’ve reread the series so many times and never get tired of it. ⚡️
As for movies, my absolute favorite is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. It’s the film that truly inspired me to become a traveler and live by its mott: “To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of life.”

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tried to learn a backflip diving for two hours long with lots of pain but never succedded.

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied biostatistics, so you're welcome to ask any kind of question in statistics! Hopefully I still have memory from my student life 😆 I'd love to share and listen to the traveling experience that everyone uniquely has!
