ABOUT ME

The keyword which describes me best could be 'double-faced'. As the word implies, I am both-sided.
Most of the time I like to meet people and enjoys talking with foreigners about their cultures but at the same time I prefer to be alone sometimes and needs some time to think about myself seriously.
Mostly I'm happy-looking person with energy, who always smiles. And of course easy-going people tries to know more about other cultures and peoples. But in some aspects I can be seen as sensitive and hard-working people, especially in the fields that I like.

PHILOSOPHY

From my childhood, I have lived with my specific goal, which is 'happiness'. But happiness itself is very abstract so in a way of shaping it up, I searched the way to realize it and makes a definition of happiness by myself. Happy life can come true by doing what I want, I believe.
But still it is not easy to practice it because we cannot live life doing only things what I want to do. Sometimes I have to compromise some social pressure or other kinds of obstacles but I'm still trying to search the things that I really want and makes an agreement it with reality.

Also 'Live with honesty' is my other personal philosophy. I think myself as not that lucky nor but unlucky person. I just can get the amount that I've tried for. I also believe the others are the same. Of course there can be some situations that is seen unfair for you, but in the end it'll be the same. So no pain, no gain so always try my best to go for it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My roommate travels some countries using couch surfing and she gets some extraordinary experiences from that travel. I was so impressed to hear her story during that trip and thought it's cool. I'm also eager go through such cultural things and it's the reason why I decided to participate in.

Interests

Interested in music, especially songs with meaningful lyrics. Don't care for the genres, but didn't have many chances to learn pop songs.
Likes to play instruments, especially for piano. Practicing it for 10 years and loves Mozart, Schubert and Chopin. Wants to learn more (guitar, violin) if it is possible.
Also likes dancing, worked as a Latin dancer when I was young. Even if I don't learn it now, still likes it.

I'm interested in education and languages. It is excited to learn foreign languages and talks with people with that language.
Education is attractive because I like children, in particular their smiles. Their smile has some magical power to make everyone feel better :) I don't know why but it feels like we're getting pure like them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like books with sound structure, especially for fictions. I loved Greek myths including Iliad and Odyssey, Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes.
For dramas, I liked the English drama Sherlock and comic drama Miranda. But mostly, I don't like to watch dramas because I cannot stand 1 hour without stopping. I cannot resist the to pause button ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few weeks ago, I went to Paris, France. There I saw the Eiffel tower, but I didn't find anything special about it.
But the end of my trip, I rode the cruise in Seine River to look back. The time I took a boat was about to sunset, so I can see the lightening ceremony of the Eiffel tower. I cannot forget the scene in my mind. It was so gorgeous that I don't know how to explain it.

Teach, Learn, Share

As mentioned before, I'd like to learn some more musical instruments such as violin and guitar. Also eager to learn Latin dance more as a hobby. I'm interested in languages as well, in particular French and German.
I'm not a good cook, though I can make some national Korean food to share with. According to the taste, I can make spicy food or non-spicy one and sometimes vegetarian one also.
