About Me

To not, when I come to die, discover that I have not lived.

I'm a wanderer at heart and about as easy going as they come, it doesn't take much to make me satisfied. As far as I'm concerned, a new experience is a good experience, so I try to have lots of them. I'm all about shenanigans. My face usually consists of facial hair and a goofy smile.

I want to understand people so I listen to them, and I want to learn from the world so I try and pay attention to it. Then I just try and have fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I surfed all around America a couple summers ago and it was great. I'd also love to host anyone who feels like venturing into New Hampshire.

Wonderful, I met some incredible people couchsurfing and I had infinitely more fun on my road trip than I would have if I had stayed at a hotel. It's great being able to hang out with locals who know what's what in their city and take you to all the best spots. There's really no other way to spend a vacation in my opinion. Everyone was so nice and trusting and I really stand by this website.

Doing the twist to oldies. Food from stands on the the side of the street. Psychedelic experiences. Wet feet on warm sand. Cigarette smoke in black and white movies. Going really fast on a bike. Loud music. Silent landscapes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Chinatown is a really great film. I listen to noise punk, tropicália, and anything in between, especially if I can dance to it. The last three great books I read: The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolaño, The Sun Also Rises by Hemmingway, Black Hole by Charles Burns.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bunch about a lot of unrelated fields, from ethnic persecution in Burma to competitive eating. The current thing I would like to teach anyone interested is how to properly peel a banana. I recently learned that the way I peeled bananas my whole life was wrong and I want to share it with the world.

I want to learn about you and whatever you think is worth learning.
