CURRENT MISSION

My mission is is simple and complicated at the same time. I want to meet people who, like me, are curious and in for a uncomplicated time!

ABOUT ME

I was born on the 11th of January 1978 in EIndhoven, the Netherlands. However I grew up in Nuenen where Vincent van Gogh started his career.
I am a positive, curious guy. Check out my website www.mijnbrein.nl to see what I make. Cause what I make, that's who I am. I love to go out there and discover. I am interested in most things in life. Doesn't really matter what the subject is. As long as someone is passionate about it. I really like arts and try to document my travels for people who are less fortunate or simply don't know. The outdoors is also always appealing to me.but my favorite part is meeting people who can make me enthusiastic.

PHILOSOPHY

I absolutely hate the fact that in a lot of countries, trust is a word that seems to be forgotten. I think trust is the basis of a better world. what's your is yours and what's mine is mine but that doesn't matter we can't share.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think that a project such as CS is all about sharing. Since I visited a 35+ countries or so I am willing to help out with providing information. Any question is possible and hopefully I can help out!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I do not have any couch surfing experience using this site. however I was invited to sleep over at a girls place who picked me up while hitchhiking, I even returned to her place after being invited once more! I also stayed at a friends place in Seoul for almost two months (he liked the idea of having a roommate)and so I think that must have been my first experiences.

arts such as painting, photography, drawing, architecture. mainly visual arts even though music plays an important role in my life as well.

besides that the obvious, travel. which to me means meeting people and exploring.

I am mainly interested in somewhat less popular music such as indie rock, jazz, turntable-ism, bossa nova, putomayo, lounge. movies I like are movies such as the fall, or where the wild things are. But the big lebowski (and all other coen films) are also some of my favourites.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

salar the Uyuny is definitely one of my favorite spots on this earth. Or maybe Bolivia as a whole. If you can see beyond the 'danger' aspect it is a wonderful versatile country where you can see spectacular planes and mountain ridges at 5500 m and a variety of tropical animals in the jungle within three weeks!
