About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See as many places as possible!

ABOUT ME

I am a student at the University of Iowa studying film and Japanese. I grew up in Iowa City and I still love it years later.
I live in the beautiful college town of Iowa City, the wild-weather mid-west state in USA. If you don't like the weather, wait a 24 hours and it will change 24 degrees as well.

Interests

I love to garden and cook. I learned to cook from my mother, and I know my way around a kitchen. I am active in the community, and I currently work at the local farmers market part-time. I love hanging out with friends, especially if they want to go outside (if the weather permits).

Music, Movies, and Books

I like hearing new music, so if you play what you like I would enjoy that a lot more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving through the badlands in South Dakota at night, and waking up at sunrise to see the rock formations and the beautiful sky around me in the morning!

Solo Europe trip for a month in summer 2012. Went to Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Spent so much time on the trains, but it was all good fun with everyone I met!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn to basics of a new language. I know I don't know to many now, but I love learning new languages. I grew up learning German from my father, and I took a few different languages in school, though I don't know enough of them to be confident in my abilities. I am learning Japanese now, and it is scary and exciting. Definitely a very hard language for an English speaker to learn!

Countries I’ve Visited
