One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Looking back at my past (almost) two years in Estonia, I feel it's one of the most amazing things I've done.
It was a total spontaneous decision of placing Estonia as my first option when applying for graduate school. No other reason, simply because it's the less chosen road. I've studied and worked here. I didn't make the best of my time here to go traveling or hiking or things that a tourist would have done. It seems that the past 20 months may have been plain, yet looking at myself before and after my stay here, I can say for sure that it has shaped and altered, to some degree, many of my thoughts and perspectives. This has been an amazing phase for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I taught Mandarin Chinese language autumn/winter 2009 in Tartu. I love the interactions and the differences one has to deal with while teaching and learning from it. The experiences surprised me in the sense that I used to think "language teaching" might be less exciting as it's teaching my mother tongue with the similar content. But the dynamics I've had from each individual student and class overthrew my stereotypes.

Willing to try/learn different things. I like ideas being challenged.

I can share a lot if you care to ask : )
