hi! I'm Dorothy, a newbie at couchsurfing:)

I grew up in Shanghai, China, and went to the U.S. and UK to study for my undergrad. I'm still in my last year of masters and I study environmental and energy economics - talk to me about sustainability and renewables:)

I started backpacking since college cuz i realize it's the best way to combine everything i like: meeting people, spending time outdoors, doing street photography, and seeing how different and how amazing the world is. so here I am:)

Música, películas y libros

This question is too difficult to answer for me cuz I'm a huge omnivore - a fun fact about me is I've watched more than 600 films but the director I've watched the most is still the director of Harry Potter (cuz it has 8 films in the series). I'm still under the stage of trying a bit of everything to find what i like! But that also means we can definitely find something in common.

but for right now, the ones I listen to/ watch often are:
Music - all classical and r&b, a bit of kpop, jrock and mandopop
Movies - my recent favorite is Everything everywhere all at once!

Algo increíble que he hecho

I went the Egypt to attend the United Nations climate change conference in college representing a youth advocacy group in China (I know, flying there also emits a ton of carbon…I felt really bad about that part and bought carbon offsets for it) but it was an amazing experience meeting people from different countries who are contributing to the same mission using all ways possible, and hear and spread these voices.
