About Me
CURRENT MISSION - Travelling to Vancouver on a crazy low budget
ABOUT ME
Also, known as Yin. I am 29 and I'm from the UK, near Liverpool. I am a technically a Scottish born chines person but I have lived in the UK for most of my life. I believe the term is a BBC or a Banana. Hehe...
I am an Event Manager by trade, I have worked in offices and hospitality for most of my life.
I've been travelling around the world for the past 6 years. Back and forth from home and out again for chunks of time. My ultimate goal is to see everywhere and also experience what it is like to live in different places around the world.
I've been to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hong Kong, Thailand, Laos, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Morocco, Ghana, Togo, Malawi, Iceland, Europe and now Canada. Having been once before and only visited Markham, I have now come over to visit the place where everyone tells me to go...Vancouver. Apparently, it's the place I belong :-)
So here I am. Currently, in Markham but heading over to Vancouver on Saturday 8th October 2016. I'm not going to lie I have had a pretty shaky and disappointing start to my trip to Canada, having just escaped either a con man or sociopath in a small town called Millbrook in Ontario. I'm trying to regain my head back with some family, before heading back out on a very very low budget which means even after my years of travelling I am finally using the great resource of couchsurfing for the first time, even though I signed up 6 years ago. Having been very lucky to have lots of friends in different countries I've always had someones couch to live on but Vancouver is slightly different. I know less people, space is a little more hard to come by, and it's super expensive. So, I need a bit of help getting set up and lots of advice!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a total beginner, but I am super friendly, very easy going and I'm super tidy especially when I'm in someone else's home. I've stayed with many friends before of course and people who I've not known too well, and I've never had a problem. I always make sure I never outstay my welcome. I can cook, I can make a good cup of english tea, I can pretty much put my hand to anything, I've just recently cleaned and painted a church.
Interests
As you can tell I love to travel and experience new things and meet new people. I love to challenge myself...
I love to take photos, eat lots of amazing food, have fun, a good old laugh, I don't drink but have no problem socialising, I'm 420 friendly if you swing that way. Otherwise, I do like to at least pop outside for the occasional cigarette.
I would love to get a chance to go to the mountains and have a good powder session, but we'll see how I get on in Vancouver first.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook and clean. Photography, social media, I could plan you an event for you? I can share some of my experiences and time. Be a nice person to hang out with. Someone to do some yoga with :-) I'm carrying a hammock around, so if you have somewhere to hang one, you can enjoy the comforts of hammock life.
I'm afraid my list isn't huge at the moment, as my funds are super low and my priority is finding work to hopefully be able to stay in Vancouver. Any help would be amazing...and I'd be forever grateful. Good karma will obviously come your way. And if your ever need the favour repaid you will always be welcome wherever I am in the world.
Countries I’ve Lived In
