Hi everyone! My name is Elena. I am fluent in 4 modern languages (English/Chinese/French/Spanish) and I am capable of translating Egyptian Hieroglyphs.
I obtained my B.S. in anthropology and psychology in the U.S, my master’s degree in communication studies in Singapore and I recently moved to Netherlands. I am also a permanent resident in Canada.

I am fascinated by human behaviors and I love exploring how people’s thinking modes are affected by their cultures and languages. So far, traveling is the best way for me to find out the answers to these questions!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here to promote cultural exchange and make friends with interesting and kind people! I don’t want to do touristy things when I travel to a foreign country (e.g. hopping on the bus to travel to some spots and take photos, staying in the hotel room etc..)

1. Skydiving in Turkey 2. Living in Andes mountains for a month to study bio archaeology 3. Doing research about wild dolphins in Florida 4. Studying mummies and human bones. 6. Free diving in Mauritius to see whales. 7. Tech diving at Blue Hole in Egypt.

Teach: Languages, Zumba, Cooking (I make excellent seafood), Human Osteology (Yes! I know about 206 bones in human and their features! I can teach you how to estimate the age at death/sex/ancestry/stature) and trauma)
