ABOUT ME

I feel that I'm a pretty mellow guy in general. I like people and consider myself open minded. I'm always eager to get a fresh perspective and learn new things.

I was born in Houston, raised in Massachusetts, and have lived in Greece, Ireland, Costa Rica, and Florida. Currently I live in Boston - which is my favorite city on earth.

PHILOSOPHY

I value friends and family the most in life, and I am passionate about discovery - i.e. making discoveries, sharing and explaining that knowledge with the world, and as a result inspiring or providing value to others.

I think the hardest thing in the world is simplifying life, beacuse it's very easy to make it complex.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to participate by inviting fellow travelers to crash on my couch. Eventually when I start backpacking again I hope the community will return the favor.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friends and I took a cross country road trip about 4 years ago and slept on mutual friend's couches here and there, but that's about it.

My friends and I saw a bald eagle swoop over a beach on the Oregon coast as the sun was setting. It was a pretty amazing moment.

It's a work in progress, but over the past few years I've been focused on lessening the restlessness of my rational mind and letting my intuition take over. I'm very interested in Zen philosophy and would be happy to share with you my understanding of present-mindedness and meditation.
