ABOUT ME

After living 13+ years on the Big Island of Hawai'i, I moved to Philadelphia for grad school. I just graduated with my masters (Dec. '19). Philly is a wonderful city! Although I do miss the jungle countryside of Hawai'i, as I'm more of an outdoorsy, tree-hugging kind. On the Big Island, in addition to being a Sexuality Educator and Coach for adults, I was also an elementary school teacher for many years at an alternative elementary school. I try to live as sustainably as possible, and spent almost 14 years living off the grid and on alternative energy and such. I lived in a eco-village started by jugglers and circus performers most of the time I lived in HI. That lifestyle is more me than a city, but I feel called to be doing things elsewhere in the world at this time.

Other things about me ~ I love dancing, especially ecstatic dance and dance parties. I like to meditate, move my body... I love making music ~ I sing, play the ukulele some, and drum. I love to listen to good music. And I enjoy living healthy while balancing that with healthy indulgence.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life the way I believe in as best as I can. I live gently upon the earth. I'm really open-minded. I'm definitely a child of the Tao. Being playful and light-hearted is healthy.

Making music with people, dancing, being outdoors. Stargazing, finding constellations, planets. Sust-'aina-bility ('aina means land in Hawaiian). Meditation. I care about the kids in my community, and look out for them. My own continued growth and evolution is important to me. I also am a student and teacher of the sensual arts. This is a passion of mine.

I LOVE MUSIC!! Esp nowadays conscious hip-hop and rap. I would love to be more educated on this, so please feel free to introduce me to good stuff. Jazz fascinates me... I love most kinds of music. I'm a sucker for piano, and I love stringed instruments, especially ones that you pluck or strike like mandolin, banjo, hammer dulcimer. A lot of my friends are DJs so I enjoy hearing their stuff...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Going out to see the flowing lava, or swimming with wild dolphins... these activities are always very amazing and humbling. (Btw, please do NOT swim with the dolphins unless you know they are not resting and are not overwhelmed with human company.) And of course standing under a bunch of cherry trees in Japan when the blossoms are going off, and the wind blows, and they fall all around like giant snowflakes...

I love learning about other places and cultures. People come to me a lot for advice and support in the sexual realm, and I love supporting people in this way. I also love learning and teaching about the Japanese language and culture. And sharing music always...

Through conversation, intuition, etc., I often help people explore/enhance their sexuality/sensuality. Also, if there's time, I'm happy to share with people some things I know about Taoist/Tantric/other sexual practices. (For example, through breath, awareness, etc. Also, e.g., I created a 2.5 day workshop called 'Sensual Communication ~ For Women.')
