CURRENT MISSION
In 2017 I sold everything I owned for a pilot licence and a very old plane, a 1963 Cessna 172. Jan-Oct 2018 flew from Cape Town up the east coast of Africa to Ethiopia and back down the other side. In 2019 I made my way to Madagascar. Under-skilled, underprepared and vaguely terrified.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I followed a man who looked suspiciously like Dmitry Medvedev to a remote airfield in central Russia where he let me fly his little orange Ukranian plane (way before I got my licence). The airfield boss was naked under his white lab coat and stethoscope, “Hello. I am Doctor. You want to fly plane?" At the end we all shook hands and I went on my merry way.
