About Me

Hello hello!
My name is Yonah! I'm an ENFP

Let me translate that for you, I am a very open-minded and easy-going girl who is looking forward to meet people not only in the surface but rather get to know them, their dreams and fears and adventures lived, and adventures to come!

Also quickly, I'm from Barcelona, studying now in Amsterdam (Fashion design major) and yes, I'm trying to learn Dutch :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to travel as much as possible and discover the wonders of this world and of course and even more important, the people. I bet many of you here can relate, but it is the people who make a place special.

So I'm here to share life experiences and learn from cultural exchanges

Interests

I am into art and I spent most of my time working on artistic projects, this also includes music of course :) I play the piano and the guitar, and a bit the ukulele and I usually also sing...

Languages also facinate me, and not only learning them but what they mean in our society as a way of communicating knowledge, as a cultural representation and even how they can change our personality a bit. Following that line I am also into psychology and human sciences in general, as much as history and geography.

Music, Movies, and Books

As for music my playlist is as random as it can get buuut there's mainly pop, country and indie, since these are the genres that adapt the best to my voice (I sing sometimes... more like all the time haha)
and in multiple languages :) but I'm also into movie sountracks and Ludovico Einaudi

For the movies it really depends on the mood I can watch pretty much anything, top genres being historical fiction and war dramas, and maybe romantic stuff (if it's disney I'll spend half of the movie singing, you've been warned hihi)... but not horror, horror is beyond me (zombies are ok tho)

And books, well I don't read as much as I should but mainly Spanish modern poetry (and probably feminist as well) and some theoretical and philosophy stuff... although I also read novels of course.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if it's amazing or not but I heard somewhere that this had to be done at least once in a life time... so I wrote a book :)

Teach, Learn, Share

As much as I want to know about other cultures, I am also looking forward to share my adventures and life experiences so we can learn from one another :)

If you are learning any of the languages I speak I'll be glad to help you with that as well of course! Language exchanges are always welcomed and enriching!
