I'm currently a university undergraduate, studying food science and biotechnology. After working as an intern in graduate school, I finally saved enough money for my trip! I'm leaving on August 21st, heading for London. And this is my last trip before joining the army on October, since every South Korean man over the age of 18 has the duty to serve in the army for 2 years!
I could seem a bit quiet at first, but with some ice-breaking time, I really like talking with others!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I always dreamed of couchsurfing in Europe, making friends all over the continent! This trip to Europe in Summer 2015 is my first time ever visiting Europe, and also, first time traveling on my own. I wanted every single day of my trip to be special, not just to end in sightseeing, but meeting new people, learning new cultures, making new friends, sharing stories, and so on. Also, when I recall the times when I went on a 3-week trip to Portland, Oregon, my host families gave me unforgettable memories and shared with me the wisdom of life. I can certainly say that those three weeks were the most valuable time in my life, and I want to make such other memories while traveling in Europe. Anyways, I want to meet you!

And this experience as a small first step, I'm looking forward to be able to host friends and travelers when I get my own house. Though I still may be a student, someday in the future I want to provide a comfortable shelter, delicious food, a great experience to travelers coming to Korea, just like many others who are participating in CS.

Intereses

Music would be my primary interest.
I believe that "Music is the universal language", and I love sharing music with others. I'm interested in instruments too! I play the saxophone and the drums, and always trying to learn the guitar but... yeah.

Also crazy for outdoor sports! (Mainly hiking, also biking, swimming, rafting)

FOOD would be one of my primary interests, too.
Not that good at cooking, but trying different cuisines of each country and city is one of many expectations from this trip!

Algo increíble que he hecho

I had an opportunity to have a mini concert out of the country... in Los Angeles!
That's because for 1 year, I was the drummer for one of the oldest university rock band in Korea! I don't know how I got through the auditions without being able to play drums at all, but surely it was a great experience!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

As I was thinking about what I can share with you (with myself being Korean), I thought of Korean calligraphy and traditional ink painting, which I have learned (very simply) in school. I'm currently learning it and planning to draw a piece of painting for you and write your name in Korean on it.

※ I brought traditional paper, brush and ink along with me, but I left them at one of the host's house :( ※
