Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Tai — 28 years old, currently on a gap year after working as a Senior E-commerce Business Intelligence Analyst at Shopee Vietnam. I’m taking this time to refresh, explore the world, and soak in new cultures while my legs are still young and free!
I grew up in Bến Tre, a peaceful countryside in Vietnam known for its beautiful coconut lands. I deeply love my hometown and culture. My family has four members, and right now I’m living with and caring for my mom and 1 cat, who means the world to me.
My biggest goal in life is to spend meaningful time with my loved ones — especially my mom — and to one day build a project that helps low-income people grow and develop themselves.
For me, traveling isn’t just about sightseeing — it’s about understanding the beauty of human diversity and the stories behind every culture. There's a quote I really love: “Maybe the purpose of being born is simply to witness the trees, the grass, and the mountains with our own eyes.” That’s why I want to see and experience as much of this world as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to truly connect with locals and discover the real stories behind each place. It’s not just about where I stay — it’s about who I meet and what I learn from them.
Also, as I’m traveling with a very limited budget, Couchsurfing is a meaningful way for me to continue this journey. I deeply appreciate every kind soul who opens their home — not just for a place to sleep, but for sharing a part of their life with someone like me, who’s eager to listen, learn, and give back in any way I can.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking, Definitely — I love it! It’s one of the ways I express myself and share my culture. I’d be more than happy to cook some Vietnamese dishes for you — as many as I can! Through food, I believe I can bring a little piece of my hometown and culture to you.
Gardening - I come from a rural area, and I’m quite handy — people say I have "skilled hands" and even a bit of an artistic touch. Helping out in the garden would be not just fun for me, but also a meaningful way to experience your lifestyle and learn more about how things are done in your culture.
Vinassapna - I can share how to meditate and how it helps us in life.
I also love sharing about Vietnamese life and the stories from where I grew up.
