About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy my life, academically and musically.

ABOUT ME

Curious about different cultures, languages, musics.
Being raised in liberal-religious family, I'm always interested in "other", as well as our own culture in which I have grown.
My main interest is academic, but as a music lover, I don't limit myself as an academic person. I always want to be surprised by the world I don't still know, and want to enjoy it, struggling with my prejudice or lack of knowledge.
I play the Ud(Arabic style) and the Saz(not only Turkish, but also Persian-Kurdish, Crete, Greek also), and learn middle-eastern music in music school in Jerusalem. I also take interest in Balkan music, especially Bulgaria and Macedonia.

PHILOSOPHY

non-extream, listen, think, and then criticize
