Where to start from? Maybe from my unusual position as a textile designer and researcher? that's for the fancy original touch. With a double French/Swiss passeport, I fell into traveling quite young and my curiosity just keeps me discovering regularly new countries. India, Spain and Argentina are close to my heart for planning next adventure trips... For the more intimate me, some would say curious, determined, passionate but I'll let you make your own opinion !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After 8 years abroad (UK, DK) I am now based in Paris. I am not in a position to host people in Paris but I can do so when I'm in my hometown. In any case, I'm very happy to go out for a drink, share my experience of Paris and Drôme valley where I end up very regularly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a first very positive couch borrowing so far as well as sharing great trekking times with a couple of local or passing-by couchsurfers.

Interests

I am passionate about all sort of languages and translation: from one idiom to another but also from words into forms, ideas into textures ... Thinking through making, in other words design and creativity are central interets.

I love to gather friends around a glass of wine and cosy dinner, to share, sing, dance and sometimes play music with others.

Yoga/energetic practice is a key practice in my life and as soon as I can I escape Paris to enjoy trekking. I love Lindy hop that I have practiced for 4 years and now getting interested in kirtan.

Music, Movies, and Books

My curiousity leads me a bit everywhere but French and Spanish literature are my favourite, though The unbearable lightness of being from Kundera is my bedside book together with the philosophy of Michel Serres.

Music wise I'me very eclectic too, mediteranean music, rock, jazz, blues, klezmer, sefardic repertoire, classical music ... the old, the new as long as it is deep, melodical, warm ...

Tony Gatlif, Wim Wenders, Won Kar Wai, Kusturica, Almodovar, Klapisch and a good bunch of French movies are on the top shelf of my cinema crushes.

Apart from that, I used to play flute for 12 years but design has taken my creativity over !

Anyone willing to practice French, learn about cooking or find out about textile design, smart materials or simply sharing good food and wine will be in good hands here !

There is so many things I'd like to learn but if I should pick some now it would be refreshing my Spanish, learning Hebrew, take massage or energetic care courses
