About Me

I live for travel and photography. I enjoy meeting new people and expanding my world perspective.

Went through two major life events in the last two years which have prompted me to get out and see the world.

Between 2015 and 2016, I visited Shanghai, Punta Cana, Vanouver, and Italy over the span of one year.

From 2017 to present day, I have been to Utah, Chicago, Alaska, Iceland, and am updating my profile now from Ireland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the best part of traveling is the people that you meet along the way. Couchsurfing allows me to stay with the locals and see their cities the way they see them. This is a much more personal and immersive experience than the detached and sterile environment offered by hotels and resorts.

Music, Movies, and Books

Two movies that I recently watched which blew my mind were Dunkirk and Sicario. The suspense and ambiance that were conveyed by these two films were nothing short of epic.

I am currently reading Wild by Cheryl Strayed. It has inspired me to hike parts of the PCT. Highly recommend! I just finished The Call of The Wild and White Fang by Jack London while I was in Alaska this winter. I also highly recommend, especially if you plan to spend any time in Alaska during the winter.

I always feel wildly overwhelmed by the prospect of discussing music as it is so expansive and varied. I am usually asking about the type of music that others enjoy in order to expand my own library.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went snowboarding in Utah in the winter, went back and skydived over northern Utah in the spring before the ice melted, and went back again in the summer to visit Zion, Bryce, and Moab. Utah rocks!!!

The most amazing thing that I have recently done was seeing the Northern Lights in Alaska on the night of the Super Blue/Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some basic chords on the guitar and ukulele.

I am fluent in three languages and am always learning new things about new languages and cultures.

I can share with you any photos that you would like to see from my travels, and the stories tied to them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy sharing and hearing stories of different travel experiences from the world over. I play the guitar and ukulele. And I can cook almost anything. This one is dependent on geography, but if you would like to learn how to surf I can definitely teach you. Also, I am a certified lifeguard who knows CPR so you will never drown when I am around.
