I like riding motorcycles and bicycles, going to concerts, camping, making maps, long-distance bicycle tours, and brewing beer. I'm also on a quest to visit all 50 states (48 down, 2 to go) and become fluent in a foreign language.

I'm big into prog rock, mostly from the 70's, but a few newer bands like the Mars Volta and the Spacious Mind. Other bands I like are the Talking Heads, Tom Petty/Heartbreakers, Sixto Rodriguez, Flaming Lips, Portugal. The Man, Passion Pit, Parliament/Funkadelic, The Traveling Wilburys, Lennon Claypool Delirium.
