Hello!
My name is Youssef (23 years old) and I am form Egypt currently residing and studying Dentistry there so basically I am your future dentist.
I have developed furious passion for traveling after my first experience in India for 6 weeks when I got to meet tons of cultures, traditions, food, people, and religions. I was fascinated by the fact that this is such a big world and there's so many to learn about people and their culture. This travel experience was a game breaker in my life since it totally changed my perspective in life and how I see traveling from a trip where I can just go shopping, stay in a fancy hotel and get home to my comfort zone to a trip where I want to go and absorb and learn as much as possible about the new culture and people I am going to and share mine with them even if it's gonna cost me sleeping on the ground, hitchhike with a complete stranger that doesn't even speak my language or save up the whole year just for the experience of traveling.
I am sort of an experienced traveler as I have been to India ( twice), Malaysia, Thailand, Tunisia, Canada, France, Hungary, Czech Republic and Austria, and Indonesia ( August this summer 2016) + hopefully Brazil this summer
Most of them were on my own as solo traveling as I have always been eager to absorb and learn as much as I can about new cultures, traditions and things. Seeing a whole new perspective of the world as than my country has always fascinated me and made me even more thirsty to travel more and more ( It's like I have been bitten by a Travel/Explore bug)
I have also backpacked Egypt covering all places in a project called BackPackEgypt please check hashtags #ThisIsEgypt and #BackPackEgypt to promote the tourism sector.
Ever since I was young I've always wondered about my purpose in life and why on earth was I brought here for and knowing this life is very short and temporary that even if you gain the whole world you would still lose it after you are gone. So I came up with the conclusion that my purpose in life is not about the gains of this world but what the world gained from my existence after I am gone for example the amount of love I showed to people, the amount of mercy, help and care I offered them through my career working as a doctor and being able to alter lives and comforting their pain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To step outside my comfort zone and get a chance to experience a whole new country, religion, culture and way of life through a local's eyes.
I don't believe that lifelong friends have to be from the same country but I am sure there's a whole new world out there that I missing on.
