About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Improve healthcare for everyone

ABOUT ME

I'm living in San Francisco at the moment, and was recently living in India for a year and a half. I travel often.

Here's some conversation starters or things we might have in common:
*Bicycling across North America
*Grew up in New York City.
*Studied bioengineering at UPenn and computer science at Harvard.
*Started a few businesses (fair trade importing, computer programming, clothing, and household moving).
*Have worked in finance as a consultant for hedge funds.
*Once I attempted to ride an unmotorized scooter from New York City to Philadelphia. Got sunburnt on one side.
*Vegetarian.
*Went to Burning Man three years.
*Started an anti-bush t-shirt company that employed over a hundred activists, registered over 5,000 voters, and went national (across the US) in scope.
*I just learned to paraglide.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that being fulfilled is something we all deserve and build toward over time. With the right action, and pure intentions, everything falls into place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love hosting people, and meeting new people in general. I participated in the New York City and the San Francisco communities when I lived there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Here's a journal entry from my bicycle ride across North America:

"I'm writing this from someone's couch in Port Dover, Ontario Canada. It's a beach town on north Lake Erie with some great people in it. I asked some guys who looked local about a field to camp in where we wouldn't be intruding on anyone's property. They invited me and my friend back to their house, where we've been partying the last four days. Back on the road tomorrow. (August 23, 2009)"

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to be a massage therapist, so I can show you how to get rid of shin splints and other muscle-related aches and pains. I've raised money for businesses before, so I can share how that works. And I'm a computer programmer, so I can share how to learn programming and provide work as well if you need it. I own a profitable clothing company with factory hook-ups in Thailand, so I can share my factory connections and show you how to start a clothing company if you're into clothes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
