About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Uncover the personality of America's cities

ABOUT ME

My name is Ysmay Walsh (nee Gray; I got married in 2013). I'm an entrepreneur, yoga teacher, yoga marketing coach, and digital strategist. I used to write about entrepreneurship for Virgin.com. I also used to be a full-time artist.

I have lived all over the country. I'm currently in Upstate New York, but I split my time between NY and Chicago. I used to live in Austin, TX; Santa Fe, NM; and Mountain View, California.

I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs. I don't have anything against people who enjoy these things; I just don't get any pleasure from it, and generally prefer not to be around smokers or drunks.

PHILOSOPHY

Be humble, for you are made of earth. Be noble, for you are made of stars.

I am available to host should anybody wish to come to Westerb New York!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Amelie, Russian Ark, Baraka, and Over Your Cities Grass Will Grow. I'm addicted to the Marvel Comic movies. :)

Currently on my nightstand is a book of poetry by Rumi and business books.

I listen to all sorts of different music. If I'm awake, I have music on! Lately I've been listening to a lot of reggae and Balkan electronica.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done was start my own company. Becoming an entrepreneur has challenged me in ways I never anticipated, and I will forever be a better person for this experience.
