ABOUT ME

I am a teacher for 45 weeks a year and year and a traveller for the remaining weeks.

I love travelling. Travelling isn't just about seeing historical monuments or to see beautiful sights. We travel to learn and discover new cultures. To meet new people and to indulge ourselves in our 5 senses. See, touch, feel, taste, smell the life of another country.
Travelling allows me to learn more about myself and in turn be a more independent person.

The world is my teacher and I want to learn as much as I can from her during my short stint on earth.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It is physically impossible for me to host anyone in my house. But for anyone seeking advice I will be more than happy to share.

When I surf, it's not all about the free accommodation. I enjoy the time I spend talking to my host and getting to know them better. Historical monuments will always be there, a big part of what makes travelling meaningful to me, is the people I meet. The fondest memories I have of Thessaloniki, for example, is not the white tower or the fort, it was my wheel-chair bounded host whom taught me the meaning of life.

When I think back on my trips, the first things that come to my mind aren't the attractions of the country; but the people I meet. Though I may not remember everyone, and we may not keep in contact, I am thankful that fate allowed for us to meet and to learn from one another during that few days we spend together.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Skydive in Australia, Bungee in Nepal, hitchhiking from Hungary to Solvenia in a container truck! There are probably the craziest things I have done in life. I love activities that drives my adrenaline up!
