Hello, my name is Yuliia (you can call me Julia if you want) I’m from Ukraine, but now live in Scotland. I really live traveling and meet new interesting people all around the world, so hope, you gonna be my next friend! I’m travelling with my boyfriend Ivan, he’s also from Ukraine, but we both live in Scotland. He really loves rock climbing and hiking and even has British qualifications to teach it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be honest, to save a bit money and make travels longer, but another bigger goal is to meet cool people all around the world, to hear your stories and to find my future destinations (I’m always asking travellers about they favourite places in the world and add to my travel list)

Interests

I love animals and get along well with children (can teach them to swim from 2 yrs😂), enjoy exploring new places and find hidden gems, love hiking and climbing, i also study programming and want to get the job in this field and be able to work remote (to travel more🤩)
I also really enjoy photography, but Ivan (my partner) doesn’t allow me to take my camera on trips because it’s too heavy (but I’m taking it anyway and usually suffer from heavy bags🤪)

Love books (not boring ones), especially fiction and crimes
Music is the best thing ever, but rock music a bit better

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could say, ‘My life and travel experiences,’ but I feel like I haven’t traveled a lot (at least, in my opinion). However, I’d love to share my life story, which includes moving to different cultures—mainly due to the war in Ukraine. I can also talk about my experiences living under Russian occupation if that’s something you’re interested in hearing about 😅.

That said, I really want to hear your life stories and experiences, and I’d love your help in planning a life-long trip I dream of taking in the future :)
